Sabres of Infinity The game begins on the Spring of 602 OIE. The Unified Kingdom of Tierra and the League of Antar are in a war. When King Miguel I of Tierra ascended to the Gryphon Throne, the Antari saw their opportunity for vengeance, due to their defeat during King Alaric's War. The shape of a sideways figure eight has a long pedigree; for instance, it appears in the cross of Saint Boniface, wrapped around the bars of a Latin cross. However, John Wallis is credited with introducing the infinity symbol with its mathematical meaning in 1655, in his De sectionibus conicis.
