ECWolf is an advanced source port for Wolfenstein 3D, Spear of Destiny, and Super 3D Noah's Ark based off of the Wolf4SDL code base. ECWolf pulls a substantial amount of code from ZDoom and aims to provide a wide array of mod editing capabilities without the need to modify the source code. Most importantly you will no longer need to replace entire data sets. With ECWolf you could for example add a weapon without needing to distribute every sprite in the game along with it. Mods will be neatly packaged into a single file just like they are for Doom.
For players, ECWolf provides many useful features such as better control binding, support for wide screen resolutions, and unlimited save slots. ECWolf allows you to keep all of your game data in one directory as one binary plays all supported games.Support for even more Wolfenstein engine games is planned for the future! (I know you're all waiting for Blake Stone support.) In terms of accuracy to vanilla Wolf, it is about the same as the accuracy of ZDoom to vanilla Doom.

Support the developer
Wisdom Tree has graciously offered to support ECWolf by using the engine to update their game, Super 3D Noah's Ark for modern systems. The release is handled by this developer and a majority of the profits go to ECWolf. Buying a copy is an excellent way to support this project. If purchased through itch.io, all proceeds go to ECWolf and you still get a Steam key!
The game is also available on GOG.com, but is not at this time part of the profit splitting deal. Buy it there if you wish, but if your goal is to donate to the project then use one of the above stores.

Get ready for a tower defense game that takes an uncommon approach to player interaction. Slash goblins with your sword, roll through waves of enemies, and build towers as fast as you can. Collect coins from fallen foes, but be careful not to get hurt when maneuvering through the action!
Use nine powerful towers to build a strong defense, each tower more unique than the last. Upgrade your character as you advance through the story with a plethora of game-enhancing abilities. Anything unlocked in your skill tree will also apply in co-op mode, so everybody benefits! Unique towers, exciting abilities, and planned future game modes ensures you'll be back for more.
The whole experience is wrapped up in an unbelievable composition that contains everything from sweat inducing chiptunes to comedic ambience. The soundtrack currently has more than 10 songs, with plans to have more than 20 by the time the game is completed. You can expect even more adrenaline-fueled audio goodness with each update!
As an early access participant, you can expect a consistent release schedule for updates. We're aiming to push new updates biweekly, but we may release them even sooner if we're ahead of schedule.
Each update will include new content, balance changes, and even player requested features.
Care will be taken to keep save files intact!
